  Latest May 2012 Watchtower: "JW wives must be more lovable"

  yes, the latest watchtower is upon us.

  it opens with a typically outlandish article on marriage.

  What about husbands who take more than one wife such as Solomon who married unbeliever(s). Does that not make him "disobedient to God"? Therefore, taking the logic once step further, his prayers would be in vain and his future so called blessings at risk would they not? Yet how often is this man lauded in the WT?

  As to sexual intimacy the GB have no clue because they have no idea what that means. What about a husband that cannot achive an erection due to advancing age? Should he be precluded from loving his wife and making love to his deeply cherished wife in ways that she feels fulfilled sexually? What about a wife being able to love her husband in ways that perhaps normal vaginal intercourse is too difficult or painful for her?

  BTW: my wife is more loveable now sexually, we get along better and she has a better frame of mind given we no longer ascribe to the teachings of these malevolent, misogyist (thanks for the remeinder Diana) men.

  How often do the WT say "Is it later than you think?" in their publications?

  " see the front cover of october 8 1968 awake as shown below and i am wondering how often they say that phrase over the years.

  i do not have the wt cd-rom.

  Exactly 00DAD: So the JW's encouraged Englewood to use bloodless surgery so that now they can train DOD doctor$$$ to save soldiers lives so that more soldiers can go out and kill. What a positive outcome for such staunch adherence to ones belief. While they may all be sharing this as vindication does it not seem odd that the tone of the feature is basically we can "thank JW's for heading us in the right direction to save lives of soliders so we can have a better kill ratio in the battlefield". Lest see if this one gets sanitized in some form over the next few months in WTprint or WT speak from the platform.

  I posed two questions once to the CO during his BOE bashing evening meeting during his visit when the "edict" came down about calling the branch before the police:

  Question: If I saw my neighbour (non witness) sexually molesting a child what must I do? Answer: you go to to the police

  Question: If I saw my neigbour (Witness) sexually molesting a child what must I do? Answer: Talk to another Elder, then talk to the branch, get instructions and then call the police.

  This has always bothered me and I can tell you that of all the JC's I was on the only one that has given me lasting peace (the others I feel guilt for) is the one that dealt with a JW that (before becoming a JW) had sex with his genetic aunt (not a JW at the time, but became a JW later), produced a daughter (not a JW - don't blame her) whom he sexuallly assaulted when she was older. The daughter could not recall when it started, but she felt that it may have been before her teens. During the JC and his appeal period he tried to have sex with her again. First thing I did before calling the branch - called the police to report it and told the police that I was under clergy law to contact the branch first. You can imagine their reply. The creep was charged and got off as the daughter would not testify against him.

  I always found that as soon as the DC theme came out R&F began connecting that to significant events that would likely happen that year such as 1989 Fall of the Berlin Wall ("king of the North") Theme that year: "Godly Devotion".

  Come on its easy - just use one noun and one adjective from the last 32 years of themes...

  "Living Close to Jehovah", "Doer's of Justice", "Kingdom Obedience" (my bet) "Teachers of Godly Peace" .....

  I remember the hapless twit chariman for the day at the 1991 who welcomed all to the "Freedom for Lovers" District Convention!!"

  JWGB: Ditto, one of Blondie's summaries was the very first thing I read when I lurked at this site for close to 6 months before leaving. I was simply stunned by the clarity of arguements made. I would love to see Blondie actually conduct a WT study - Blondie style of course.

  I am not sure that the Aug 26 1926 "new light" on on fingernail power has ever been updated or "uplighted". So it is still the prevailing understanding - so as JW they should be out their explaining this...:)
